Scheduled Maintenance / Runway Closures At CYOO

NOTAMS will be issued 48 hours in advance of maintenance.

May 21st - late June

A new taxiway joining the hangars to Delta is planned to take a month, starting May 21st.

Wednesday May 29th

Crack sealing is planned which will require both runways to be closed from 07:00-12:00. Temporary closures of taxiways and aprons will occur throughout the entire day.

Week of June 3rd

Line painting is planned for the week of June 3rd and is expected to require two days. Both runways will be closed from 07:00-12:00 on the first day. Temporary closures of taxiways and aprons will occur during the two days selected.

Canadian Air & Space Museum Requires Our Financial Assistance

The Museum is currently having discussions with the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) regarding the potential opening of the Museum in an outstanding new location at Lester B. Pearson International Airport.

The Museum has an immediate need to raise funds, as it has not generated any revenue since its closing in September 2011. Funds will be directed to two immediate needs:

Preserving the Museum's collection that now sits in 44 freight containers. Sizable indoor storage space needs to be found, with proper environmental conditions, for the contents to be unloaded before winter weather sets in. Afterwards, monthly storage rental fees need to be covered.
Construction of a temporary hangar to store the Museum's two most precious items - the only full-scale metal replica of the Avro Arrow and the City of Toronto's rare Second World War Avro Lancaster bomber.
